Coddling "Little"Johnny

Listening to a local talk radio show the other day, I couldn’t help but notice how the subject matter, brought the liberal out of the guest.
The subject was about crime and youth and a highly successful non-profit program in Sarnia Ontario under the name of Rebound .
I was bothered while listening to the guest list the reasons (excuses), that where responsible for crime among the youth, their families and communities.

Busy parents, video games, peer pressure, the regular old shtick. Yes there are lots of potential problems for sure, in our society and those parents honestly blindsided by a teen’s depression, as well those teens good at heart, but made a youthful mistake (mild crime) should have help available.

However listening to the soft logic of the guest and grabbing my cell to call and voice my differing opinion, only to get a busy signal.Luckily some callers already sensed the guest was a liberal progressive softy, and where trying to dispel her points.

The host was asking some good questions.

Do you see a certain age group as the biggest problem?

Is one family dynamic worse than the next when it comes to teens committing crimes?

Do you see more boys or girls in your program?

These are not exactly worded as asked, but as I recall accurately represent what the host was trying to get to; “the meat of things”

The guests’ answers to these questions can basically be boiled down to “liberalese”.

I hate singling one group or person. The problems are equally spread out, no matter what circumstance or what gender happened to pertain to the kids in her program. In other words, she hid the real facts(whatever they happen to be) beneath political correctness. For example the host asked if the guest’s program uses the soft approach, the guest thought effective would be a better word.(I’m guessing soft was a great guess).

Isn’t coddling one from reality one of the reasons kids are in her program in the first place?

To her “boot camps” where negative”, as well as listing the names of young offenders. Parenting to her was rocket science, and kids not knowing right from wrong by twelve seemed unfortunate but not disgusting. She also felt that video games actually fed these children their reality and they where unable to distinguish their real world. In that case they should be made to watch The Chronicles of Narnia for a week straight maybe then they’ll straighten up their act, if her reasoning is so valid. I would actually agree with her if I didn’t already have a good idea any kind of Christian themed entertainment would be looked at by her like it was a plate of boiled brussel sprouts.

Can’t one be stern and then compassionate? Does not grabbing a teen by the shirt collar, looking them straight in the eye, while laying out the gist of their life that lays ahead on their present(I'm a piss-ant and proud of it) course, not have something clear to add to their rationality?

These kids aren’t stupid, actually I’d guess they are all rather smart, maybe we should be treating them like they are, not treating them like handicaps that somehow are excused from knowing right from wrong, when in reality they would rather act out and not give a damn about any moral rule, except their own. Trouble is at one time freedom came with personal responsibility.

Parents do have problems they are not supposed to be perfect, some don’t notice the signs and some couldn’t care to. That’s life, and sometimes young human beings are not given the best guardians, its sad sure but don’t all of us have to rise to some occasion that doesn’t see self pity as productive, or irrational when it isn’t warranted as a perpetual crutch.

We have had generations of “progressive” means on countering negative progress, it isn’t working.

I do not doubt the caring shown by the guest when it came to teens, but until people in her position call a spade a spade, things will never change.

Denial is for dead donkeys and societies that fall victim to their bleeding hearts.

Things are getting interesting......

Well I have to say things are heating up when it comes to Harper and his cabinet, new liberal corruption and all the opinions out there in political pundit land. Most interesting to me though is the whining thats started to come from Toronto by Miller.
It never ends the left and me, me, me. its a familar broken record. I wonder, do they ever wonder if people exsist outside of their borders.....? That just happen to think the opposite of them...?
I'm guessing not really.
That would take commonsense.

Election Night

It's 8:30 amd I'm sitting here like a huge number of other Canadians and so far its playing out the same as last election, and I'm hopeing to God it turns out different than last time.

Well its 10:30 they are saying conservative minority, and the cons have won my riding, however I'd of hate to have seen if the libs ran a good campaign, we have alot to learn in this province of Ontario, and maybe times to come will teach them?

The libs should be reeling in the dirt, god what have we become.

Parliament is going to be very interesting, I wonder if anything conservative will even pass?

Oh well.... we will see.

Update: You people that voted liberal, just remember how much fortitude it takes to justify voting for the crooks when more dirt is unearthed once parliament is in session again. I have not one ounce of respect for any liberal (STUPID and UNPRINCIPLED) its a wonder liberals don't crawl.

Don't you wish?

Wouldn’t it be nice to be able to take someone that still voted for a liberal Monday somewhere you could physically demonstrate to them the folly of their intellect?

I don’t mean beat them; I know it just drives a person crazy trying to figure the unashamed liberal voter out. I was thinking more along the lines of the way the allies showed the Germans living close to the concentration camps what had went on under their noses.

I’m not suggesting liberals are Nazi’s, what I’ am suggesting is that liberal voters are letting very unethical behaviour by their governing party go unnoticed.

I'd wish they would wake up, for Pete's sake. It is too soon to be sure how bad or good it could be but there are still people, maybe many that are more afraid of a conservative perceived as as a westerner, than Liberals that are blatantly screwing them.

How intelligent is a citizen that asks for a flogging?

Just in case a voter wanders in here and is confused as to what all the fuss is about when it comes to liberals, or is in some sort of self induced denial.

Take a gander over to Kate’s site and look for yourself here.

Read through the comments of the first article (Jan 20) and ask yourself if anyone voting liberal knows the difference between right and wrong . I wish they did.

Have government job will travel

Look what Conservative Life has found

Take a good look at the snow outside,
and those Christmas bills your paying.

What you say, no comment from the MSM? - here's why

If things are going to change in this country , we need media outlets that show better judgement , when it comes to governments, honesty, and a better country, not more of the same.

Meandering

Have you ever wondered what has happened to Canada, our society as a whole, and why?

What forces are at play in this country, and is it due to an ideology, or a natural change?

I’ve wondered, and looking back I think I’ve been wondering since I was sixteen. Maybe it’s the value I place on my family, and the peaceful hindsight I gather thinking back on the years I spent growing up in a small community of 400 in south western Ontario, that have raised the alarm. These values where taught or just absorbed from my home, my community, my teachers, actually my country as a whole, that now seem so different once removed from the community I live in now, coincidently close to where I grew up.

Peace seems to be in a short supply in Canada, people seem in such a hurry, life seems so fragmented to many. Simple seems to only have existed or have any virtue when you look back, or look into the eyes of an older Canadian. A clear sense of right and wrong has been replaced by the word tolerance. Responsibility, duty, and the desire to carry each virtue out, have been replaced by excuses that are tolerated. Kids are not allowed to fail, or feel the temporary sting of not being perfect, they are not expected to tow a moral line or even taught there is a moral line. What value do any of these demerits have to individuals and their society.

I believe many once shared strong values. No matter what color you where, or your position on the social ladder, and those same values built strong families and communities. People made there own desisions and believed in them , and government once respected that.

It could be said we where all equal before equal became a household term to our government. Certainly you can say changes where needed though one could argue blind progress and the failure to admit the lack of forth sightedness has brought this country and certain progressive movements of the political left closer to the gutter of denial then a positive truth that gives the whole society a step up.

That’s why I have come to believe that a respect for tradition with a hint of responsible progression would have been much more beneficial to our Canadian society. We have forgotten the one thing Canadians past knew and took to heart and that was the value in keeping life simple. Wrong and right was black and white; you did your best on honest terms, and did not respect those that cut corners for their own benefit. This lead to a society as a whole that held these values at the center of their being, and where cognizant of them, thus making up a country of strong independent individuals.

Many Canadians still hold those values dear but fail to realise, the governments they elected sought to undermine those very values and sabotage them and each year, each decade replace values that freely built this country with values that put a price on the truth and that price was the truth should be hidden, and morals would become neutral.

Instead of families raising responsible citizens, and being respected and unhindered for doing so by government, they became unlikely pawns in a liberal, socialist “experiment”.

That experiment abandoned the past virtues passed down by parents, families, communities, with new and “improved” virtues that needed to be only given meaning by those in power and those that found solace for their own misery by screaming in a compassionate government’s ear. The government started to provide sustenance in the belief life for individuals would become easier, many programs where developed until society eventually became more dependent on government , and government became more dependant of society’s hard earned money and their abilty to sugar coat this fact with lies.

Socialism became a delicate balance easier to manage the more dependent the electorate willingly became, while losing rights to challenge the government
That balance today is not working, for in reality government can never take the responsibility from you even if it tries. Modern liberals and socialists think peacefulness can be bought or provided from government, when it truly has to come from an individual taught by other individuals through life up until they mature mentally and are able to find peace themselves in the simple truth common to life in any FREE country.

Liberals and socialists will always fail in the end; our country is a result of their limited actions and disregard for “better off” (self reliant, responsible, not easy lead) individuals that take pride in themselves.

All our country needs is a leader with integrity that respects wisdom placed upon us from our past, who believes in the individual, and sees a great hope for Canada that exists within our borders and has no responsible limits. No matter if it comes to our military, right down to our social services that can be sustained, not defended with excuses.

A strong conservative can only be the one to give everyone back their country, each citizen their individual voice, and each citizen a freedom they can be proud of, while their country is respected once again by its neighbours.

The only thing it will cost us as our country is some old fashioned repect, the loss of our apathy, a desire for freedom, and a desire for an honest democracy

Who would have guessed ?

Well we still have a week to go in this election. Seeing the Liberals come unglued as they have , with help from the MSM has been rather surreal , for me and I would guess many other conservatives.
Why the change this time around ? Are people really sick of the corruption , the libs way to arrogant , or have the conservative blogs held the MSM's nose to the grindstone.
Myself I think (so far) the blogs have saved the day , for the conservatives .
Certainly a leader like Harper coming into his own this time around doesn't hurt either.
Lets hope the good fortune hold for the next seven days.
I think it will and sincerely hope it does.
If so I think many conservatives will be in shock.
We all owe a great debt to some great conservative blogs. As well as some others.
It seems our "Rush Limbaughs" have silently rose to the occasion , and did their country and just maybe soon to be leader , a great service.
This is one election where things really seem to have changed for the better.
When it comes to conservatism this may be the biggy, everyone remembers for years to come.
I for one hope its a new start for Canada , and will open people's eyes.
Who would have guessed , things would seem so positive !!

Martins not so Hidden Agenda

Monday night during the debates Martin , proclaimed he would push for the removal of the Not Withstanding Clause in our Charter to strengthen it.

"The first act of a new Liberal government is going to be to strengthen the Charter and we will do that by removing . . . the possibility for the federal government to use the notwithstanding clause, because quite simply I think governance says that the courts shouldn't be overturned by politicians," Mr. Martin said.
He certainly caught every one off guard , including the three other leaders in the debate with him.

Martin was quick to challenge , his complete opposite.

When asked whether he agrees, Mr. Harper said he is satisfied with the current law.

"I think our Charter provides a balance and that's why I support the present construction of the Charter," he said, adding that property rights should be included in it.

Many other people throughout history and today would agree with Mr Harper when it comes to property rights.

Kirk, Russell
Seventh, conservatives are persuaded that freedom and property are closely linked. Separate property from private possession, and Leviathan becomes master of all.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
1993 - from "Ten Conservative Principles", in the second chapter of The Politics of
Prudence

Private property began the instant somebody had a mind of his own.
Author: E. E. Cummings

"Private property is the most important guarantee of freedom." -- F.A. Hayek

"The sacred rights of property are to be guarded at every point. I call them sacred, because, if they are unprotected, all other rights become worthless or visionary. What is personal liberty, if it does not draw after it the right to enjoy the fruits of our own industry? What is political liberty, if it imparts only perpetual poverty to us and all our posterity? What is the privilege of a vote, if the majority of the hour may sweep away the earnings of our whole lives, to gratify the rapacity of the indolent, the cunning, or the profligate, who are borne into power upon the tide of a temporary popularity?" -- Judge Joseph Story, 1852

I think Martins statement's more than reveal why he is in politics , and what modern liberalism is not about ; you and your freedom .

They mistake blind tolerance of everything including the state as freedom , and they would love the power to convince their "subjects" that government always has a point , that trumps yours .
As long as your morally neutral , and keep your mouth shut no problem , but look out if you have your own opinion opposite theirs, see government as the problem , and stand up for what you deem right. Don't believe me read this
Luckily free men and women sometime choose to do this

Do you think free people have the right to stand up and counter unjust actions , against persons and their property , by governments?

(Thanks go to Kate)

Martin doesn't think so !

Liberal Leader Paul Martin said property rights is the "shrine at which the U.S. conservative movement bows."

He said enshrining those rights in the Constitution would allow the government to attack a range of laws.

"If property rights were enshrined in the Constitution then probably you would not be able to ban handguns," Martin said

Mr Harper does !!

Harper said he has no desire to strike down those kinds of laws.

"We believe the Charter of Rights should reflect the right to own property, the right not to be deprived of property without due process of law and just and timely compensation

Full Story

I wanted to post on this since Monday , and at first was disappointed property rights wasn't making the head lines I thought it should , as its one issue that definately points to a leader with real values , and a leader that can't seem to stop talking about the values he thinks "Liberal" Canada should have , oh and heres some insight on a mentor of his.

Martin cares about control , Harper your freedom , and I don't think it takes much work to see which one would be ashamed to be called a tyrant , and which one doesn't care as long as it gets what he wants (your submission).

Maybe Canadians are catching on?
Lets Hope!!

Mr. Integrity

Blue Blogging Soapbox: Paul Martin vs Paul Martin: The Debate Game (Flash)

Try the game its hilarious - send it to all your liberal friends as well.

Oh if this could only stick - like melting plastic to skin

Many gun owners , observant conservatives, and libertarians could have told Canadians long ago they weren't being dealt with honestly, when it came to government manipulated public opinion on private gun ownership.
I do hope the latest liberal scandal takes wing and sticks .

Liberals in positions of power show some true disregard for the word -Honorable

honorable
hon·or·a·ble
adjective
Definitions:

1. having personal integrity: guided by, or with a reputation for having, strong moral and ethical principles

2. deserving or gaining honor: worthy of or winning honor, respect, recognition, or glory

3. morally upright: upright and moral in intent ( formal )
I hope his intentions are honorable.

Hmmm Looks like liberals(and others) have struck out , don't think I put the definition up for you to read like you didn't know , its just liberal and NDP voters needed reminding.

Get a sinking feeling about your government and their stink?. Dead skunk's smell better in July .

I had the same feeling years ago in front of the parliment buildings in Ottawa watched by teams of men in camo up on the roof's of buildings holding binoculars , watching our large crowd of (10 ,000) protesting C-68 , but we remained peaceful and honest , (like we where the ones prone to crime...haha) . We believed C-68 to be unfair and a rather asinine. But very few listened.

Today here we are and things are starting to unravel and low and behold another tip of the elusive but proverbial , liberal iceburg , formed by your hard earned cash , and political self serving arrogance .

It seems to have been finally lit up the radar screen to enlighten those that desire to show what has really been going on under the apathetic noses of Canadians.

Who would have knew today that one of the same parties that concocted Bill C-68 now has those same "binoculars " pointed at them but though peaceful they seem to be rather very crooked , and they want to "control" the guns , simmering irony don't ya think .

"My government would never harm an innocent person or property" but they will sure as hell steal , and I'd be carefull how liberals apply the word innocent to anyone other than themselves.
Remember "right is wrong and wrong is right".
Liberals that get it right are either across the floor already with the conservatives or by themselves, or just sitting on the otherside side confused.

Lets not forget the bureaucracy they feed like a farmer trying to fatten up a pig for market.

"When the growth of a bureaucracy passes beyond control, it becomes a law unto itself. The process is self-fulfilling. The failure of each new intrusion compels it to intrude again. More people are hired, more programmes devised to occupy them, until the bureaucracy's original purpose is obscured. No longer is it there to administer the law, for the law has been buried. It is there to minister to itself."

- Kenneth McDonald

Here is some correspondence from someone that has experienced this first hand.

While we're at it, lets not forget the CFGC refused for years to file financial the statements and audits that are required by law to maintain its tax-exempt status. At any rate in order to have tax-exempt status it must not only be a not-for-profit organization but in addition it must be non-partisan.

The CFGC has failed to file the paperwork to support its claim to be not-for-profit AND it is obviously shilling for the Liberals, is on their payroll, and is staffed at its most senior levels by key Liberal Party members.

Therefore we must demand of CCRA that they be hit with the full tax bill for all their revenues over the years.

I made a complaint about this to CCRA some years ago, but was rebuffed. Maybe we'll have more luck now?

Canada can't take many more years with the liberal's at the helm driving with one hand on the wheel and the other snapping up our money like it was their own. Down the highway of lawlessness.

Maybe justice will be served for gun owners and Canadians alike , and the guilty will maybe recieve alittle more punishment than teaching ethics classes , I for one hope that justice is dealt and it stings like melting plastic to skin , and the "slave" becomes the "master".

This takes getting a bang for a buck to a new level

You know all the concern shown by politicians on the news after the boxing day shootings , looked genuine but then you read this from Terence Corcoran of the financial post.

The City of Toronto's latest budget extravaganza, dropped on citizens this week

As for the possibility of spending cuts and efficiency gains, the city's left-leading control block, under union-friendly Mayor Miller, has been unable to find more than $43-million of spending excess in their $7.65-billion plan -- a plan that's 25% above 2002 levels. And given the big capital spending budget announced earlier, Toronto's spending demands beyond 2006 are set to soar. New debt charges alone will add $350-million a year in new spending over the next four years

Where's all this money going? Much of it will keep the city stocked with union employees earning the highest wages in the country under new contracts that give them job security. Other areas of rising spending are social services (+40%), culture (+19%), waste management (+5%), Toronto transit (+31%) and police service (+5%).

Well thats it the violence is going to recede because the culprits and their parents , are going to be bribed into realizing they ARE worth a crap.

Funny? Didn't individuals used to have to find that out on their own , with alittle help from somebody that just took the time to care ?

I'm not insensitive I just get hives everytime a socialist throws money at a problem , instead of thinking

Some more responsible ramblings from the Globe and mail

Yesterday, Mr. Miller said he hopes to negotiate a five-year commitment from the province to pay for a range of programs that he argues should be covered by the provincial government, not local property-tax payers. The Toronto Board of Trade agrees, arguing the city could shrink the budget gap by $300-million if Queen's Park takes full responsibility for social services. (and the heat off him)

Great I glad I'm three hours away from "fantasy" land and still I am in "danger" of getting stuck with another socialist's "bar" tab , and somehow down the road I'll be responsible for a bunch of punks that actually shoot people with ILLEGAL hand guns , for something to do.

What genuine responsibility , and leadership you show Mr Miller for YOUR community .

Yes Mr Churchill you warned us .

The inherent vice of capitalism is the unequal sharing of the blessings. The inherent blessing of socialism is the equal sharing of misery.
-- Winston

I am fond of that quote as people like Miller , Mcginty , and Martin are always quick to prove him right. Especially when they need your money even when one of the three seems to be able to stomach his party (literally) stealing it .
When they need to make up for their lack of genuine ideas.

Liberals are unable to see real family values

Well today Martin just waved his magic wallet , in Kitchener - Waterloo and BAM ..... Liberals once again promise to blanket families and their post secondary children in those virtuous "“Canadian"”(liberal) values.

Hey I have a couple kids myself , and to be honest I'’m wondering how the post secondary part of my kids life is going to go and be paid for , but it will be. One way or the other.

Liberal'’s see the value of a family as somewhere to place tax dollars that government has already decided how to spend .

Conservatives place a much greater value on families , and more importantly instinctively know mom's and dad's know best. After all being a parent should trump government in the value department shouldn't it?

It leads me to believe without question liberalism (of today) , doesn'’t believe in family as having any value to a society. Certainly education is important but more importantly even if one becomes a doctor or even a head of state it doesn'’t really mean squat if you haven'’t been raised with a clear sense of , responsibility , a reasonable social conscience , and the value of HONESTY with yourself and others.

These values are not shared by the public school system any longer , most teachers are there today to "“make"” doctors, lawyers , and more (liberal) politicians , not good people.

Good in the sense , of your person , which involves moral decisions that are made using your guts , convictions , and the belief in who you are as an INDIVIDUAL. This involves that not so nice task of inner investigation that causes some personal discomfort , and coincidently doesn'’t jive with today'’s liberalism (discomfort - bad), but at the same time rewards the thinker with WISDOM that can'’t be taken away by governments , their "“new"” laws , and socialists with their putrid progressive political correctness brought to bear by their human rights tribunal'’s.

The above values and positive character traits today mostly only taught within a FAMILY. They don'’t involve government money , or government run daycare or an unsupporting public school curriculum , and certainly not the UN.

That kind of family comes in many colors , and is liberal in a positive sense not politically .

In the best case scenario these families consist of a mother and a father , who more than anything else want their children to grow up and learn to think for themselves , be of value by being of honest worth , and taking responsibility for who they are as INDIVIDUALS , while being successful.

Certainly divorce and other situations have been progressing haphazardly across Canada'’s social fabric and there are many "“single"” parents out there but not many with the fortitude to take their responsibility and place it with good sense lovingly upon their children in a similar fashion as two responsible parents , although different , it still leads society in the same direction . Where strong, responsible , honest adults that build families along the same traditions their parent(s) did , which peacefully settle in , strong communities , within a strong country.

Those are the values that need to be again recognized by government , not ignored or interfered with because those are the values they fear and don't mind socially engineering into obscurity.

As socialists know a strong traditional family unit , doesn't take irrational orders placed upon its members lightly or with their eyes closed and brains on idle .(or intellectually vote liberal)

These same mom's and dad's and the children they hope grow into independent honest responsible adult's live in communities that don't take B.S. kindly , and are resistant to government control.

(I almost feel I should be writing in the past tence , but I'm from a rural area)

Socialists only value those families , that see government more able to provide whats needed than themselves.

Alittle misguided and self defeating I'd say.

Honesty , Common Sense, and Conservatism - OH MY!!

Martin is now turning on the doom and gloom , and comparing Harper to Harris .

I'm not shaking in my boots are you ?

However this is demoralizing and speaks volumes on the ideologies of the left.

Read this little tidbit its about convicts voting , and I'll use a couple quotes that say it all.

This is the second time federal prisoners have been allowed to vote since the Supreme Court struck down part of the Elections Act in 2002. It had been challenged under the charter of rights by a convicted murderer

Shoemaker, who is into the eighth year of his sentence, says most inmates plan to vote for any party other than the Conservatives.

Prisoners fear the Tories want to make life in prison harsher by taking away comforts such as televisions and stereos, he says. They also believe the Conservatives want to strip them of their right to vote
.

It would seem the gloom and gloom already exists , that is if you see the total hypocrisy of the left as insanity and the real kicker they are unable to see there fallacy of their ideology (lots of voters are as well).

Its disgusting and interesting at the same time , and it makes one wonder how the masses that vote for socialists in general think . Obviously convicts think the same as the socialists , they seem to agree?

Yet somehow strong conservatives like Harris and Harper are scary .

The Conservatives say they don't have an official policy, but would favor a constitutional amendment to ban voting by federal prison inmates
.

If your for law and order , and personal responsibility how could you be afraid of a conservative ? When socialists seem to always turn the logical world of cause and effect upside down.

It doesn't matter how thick the smokescreen coming out of Martins and Layton's mouth is , it still reeks of BS . Harris put Ontario's interests ahead of the countries , and his own lust for power. He cared about individual freedoms and believed in the average Joe . I believe Harper does as well and in my opinion will always put Canadian interests before the world a rare trait these days.

The only thing that should scare Ontario , is socialist logic , the same logic that has brought us the health care system we are trying to fix , Toronto's crime , dependence on the government, the decline of family values , and the reliance of the government on your hard earned money to pay for it all. While at the same time pretending to give you a taxpayer real choices , when in reality they believe they know best what choices they will make for you.

Its not that socialist ideology is scary its that the masses seem reluctant to raise their head above the stagnant stench and see the reality , its the socialists greatest fear THE TRUTH.
